This booklet is NOT meant to be the definitive pointe shoe booklet.
Nor is it necessary to do everything mentioned in its pages with regards to preparing your pointe shoes.
It is more of a guide to assist those students who are new to pointe work (and maybe some first time pointe shoe mums) who may need some help preparing, maintaining and cleaning pointe shoes for classes. It is also aimed at students considering full time training with the possibility of having a career in classical ballet.
There is also a section on students’ self preparation for classes which I hope will assist them to become more responsible for themselves and their career.
